Pre Looe Festival

http://www.facebook.com/looemusic
This weekend for my 20th Birthday me and a group of friends will be attending Looe Festival! For those of you that don't know, Looe Festival is on a beach in Cornwall, it's not huge! The line up consists of 60 bands and these include The Skints, The Levellers and The Stranglers! However, being a festival virgin i'm thinking if I ease myself in then everything will be okay. But I don't know what I'm worrying about, because I am ever so excited about going! Especially about seeing the 3 above named bands, what a great birthday treat.

I've been reading peoples bloggers who have attended festivals and it sounds as if they have had an amazing time, but I highly doubt I'm going to look as amazing of most of you!
I have written a to do list as long as my arm, yet I'm planning on travelling light? I don't really know how this works! I've stocked up on so much baby wipes and dry shampoo!

Anyways the point of this post is........

Do any of you have any hints and tips for me on my first festival??

I'd be ever so grateful of any input whatsoever!!

Marwell Zoo

For Jake's mum's birthday we decided to take her to Marwell Zoo as a surprise. As lets face it parents get so hard to buy for, and there's only so many mugs and teddys you can get away with before it gets just a little tedious. Impressively we both managed to not let the cat out of the bag and keep what was going to happen that day completely under wraps!

We had a fantastic time. But my highlight of the day definitely was having a tiger right in my face, staring me right in the eye, with nothing but some glass between us. It was absolutely mind blowing! However, Jake is a numpty with the camera and only got a picture of the tiger, and not me in the shot -_-.

So, I thought I'd share with you some of my delightful snaps from the day.

I think we might have our work cut out........

Despite the initial plan of getting her back on the road ready for our trip up to Blackpool, sadly this didn't happen, due to other commitments and funds. However, never fear the work has commenced good and proper now. We are all ending up absolutely caked in oil (whether we like it or not). I can't say i'm mechanically minded at all, I probably wouldn't even know how to change a tyre if I had to! However, I'm well up for helping the lads with this, getting mucky and learning new skills. But also at the same time documenting there movements for them, and also the cars progress.

Despite the hard work, this is seeming to be an enjoyable experience. Having the music blaring, copious amounts of tea, covered from head to toe in oil and muck, i surprisingly feel completely content. I am so excited to get this beauty back on the road and make her feel 'young' again.

Lots of Love,

A little bit of inspiration at a time like this goes a long way

So today's just been one of those days when you just want to retreat back to the sanctum of your bed and stay there, in the hope that things just get better. However, that's just not feasible right now for me. It feels as if I am constantly on the go! I'm so behind in studying for my events management and wedding planning course due to work commitments and several different social commitments lately, and its stressing me out a treat! Also with work being absolute hell at the moment for me. But after stumbling across this little delight, the day seemed to go a little bit chirpier, and gave me that little boost I needed. I know now that I can do these things, I just need to take a little step back and breathe for a while. Perhaps tonight I will go for a little walk along the beach.

And I couldn't resist posting this little one. On getting ready to go back to work after my lunch break, this is where I find my dog residing. I think she thought I couldn't see her. Bless her the cheeky thing!

The most beautiful of places....

You may not know but I live along the South coast of Dorset. Quite honestly I can say that I believe it to be the one of the most beautiful places. I just adore the wide open spaces, and the slow paced living compared with the hustle and bustle of the city.

I'm not the kind of person to enjoy a beach packed to the rim of sun worshipers and golden sands. I'm the kind of person that likes to go off the beaten track to those non 'mainstream' beaches, the ones that literally emit beauty effortlessly, through the hand of nature.

I have had the most stressful of two weeks with studying and working. I needed an escape, somewhere where I could feel free! And guess what, it worked wonders (even if the weather wasn't all that fantastic)
So I urge you now, pack up a picnic, grab a buddy and go appreciate somewhere beautiful, created in the hands of nature alone.

Where do you consider to be the most beautiful place near you?
